Stability requirement of aerial work platforms on the horizontal plane ground
Aerial work platforms machinery should be placed on a solid, level ground, and its stability should meet the following conditions:
a) At rated load conditions, will give rise to a maximum height, it should be stable under the condition of at any point in its periphery to exert maximum lateral force requirements.
b) When 1.5 times the rated load of the platform, which can be placed in the center of gravity of the platform could be set at any point of surrounding the periphery of 300mm in each position on the scope of work to be stable.
c) If the platform is extendable, the aerial work platform should extend to the limit position. When projecting parts has to bear 1.5 times the maximum load allowed by the Department, its center of gravity can be placed at any point within the platform extending periphery of 300mm at each position on the scope of work to be stable.
